I made this cardigan for my friend (the one who lives with her children – my godchildren – in the alps)
As usual in gray. She wanted a hoodie with a bit cabling – well, I was a bit scared, that she starts to joodle, when I knit a gray cardigan and decided to knit something special. I hope she likes it……. by the way. This pattern is…… what can I say. A lot of work.

 

Ich habe die Strickjacke für eine Freundin gemacht. Sie mag es in grau…. Naja Zopfmuster und grau? Also viele Trachtenjacken in Bayern sind ja so und da dachte ich mir ich mache ein “Zopfmuster” der besonderen Art. (Bevor sie vor lauter grauer Jacke noch mit Jodeln beginnt)

City of light – Daytrip to Lucern

I had a day off – and did a little trip to Lucern (City of Light). One hour from Zurich by train – and it was just wonderful traveling with the train thru the autum colours.

Drops cotton light (50%cotton/50%acryl) in offwhite and Drops cotton Paris (100% cotton) in different colours. One Bamboohook 4.5mm (brake after 350 squares) and a metallic hook (still alive)  20×23 squares 460 squares in total

    

Huron #2

 

This is the second Huron (Brooklyn Tweed). The first I made was for a friend living in the swiss alps.

The second HURON  is for me. Dark red 100% Alpaca with 1skeins white Karisma (Leftover) from my favourite Yarnstore http://www.strickcafe.ch/.  15 skeins dark red Drops Classic Alpaca (discontinued) Pattern with 4mm Needle otherwise 3.5mm Needle.

  
I started at the under arm level with 400stitches (120front 120back 8oarm 80arm) following the pattern from brooklyntweed. Then I picked up the stitches from the crochet lane and added for armholes 10stitches for body and back . I like it; knitting top till down. That’s the best way for me, to keep everything under control.

Cobblestone #4? or 5? on the needles

next project………. cobblestone sweater, yes brooklyntweed (what else). this is the 4th or 5th??? effort to knit this sweater. never came out the way I wanted it.

startet from the yoke up to the neck and then down to hands and belt. up and down like life . the third skein is on the needle, not much to show yet.

COMO Cotton/Acryl  light grey  Ø3.0mm needle  Maddison Manor Zürich.

Nun bin ich endlich fertig geworden mit der Tagesdecke! Das war wieder einmal eine Abwechslung etwas zu häkeln statt zu stricken. Ich habe so zwischen 30 – 40 Knäuel verhäkelt und ich glaube die Bambushäkelnadel hat auch etwas gelitten. es waren total 564 ganze und 22 halbe hexagons.

swallowtail scarf

next scarf in a wonderful light grey 60%cotton/40%acryl………… maddison COMO. swallowtail pattern needle size 4.5mm 4 skeins.

Wieder ein Dreiecktuch, diesmal in einem wunderschönen Hellgrau. Garn: Maddison Como CO/PAC. Ich finde das Farbenspiel von diesem Garn ist einfach genial. Strickt sich herrlich.
